Meet Roberta

I support my clients through proven frameworks for navigating burnout, relational stress, and major career transitions.

A bit about me….

I spent over a decade working across tech, nonprofits, and academia - at the interaction of learning, leadership, and research. On paper, I was succeeding. In practice, I was over-functioning my way toward burnout and calling it ambition

The shift started in 2018 when I fell down the stairs and broke my ankle on the way to a job interview. I spent weeks in bed, unable to work my usual way out of discomfort. For the first time in a long time, I had no choice but to sit with what I was avoiding. Thats when I started meditating - and years later, became a teacher myself.

Old habits die hard. My next wake up call when I started my coaching certification and noticed it was the first thing in years  that gave me energy instead of draining it. The contrast was hard to ignore.

I stepped down from my VP role not because I failed, but because I finally got honest about what it was costing me. That decision and everything I had to face to make it, is the foundation of everything I do now.

Before I started working with clients, I did both: the deeply personal work of uncovering my own patterns, and original research with women in tech about burnout, what kept them stuck, and what helped them move forward.

Roberta Dombrowski helps high achievers get honest about what they actually want and build a path forward that doesn't require burning out to get there.

She is an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and completed her MBSR teacher training at Brown University’s Mindfulness Center. She is currently completing her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, which informs the depth and care she brings to every partnership.

Her work sits at the intersection of mindfulness, career development, and trauma-informed coaching, grounded in the belief that people are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole. Her work has been featured by the Association of Talent Development, Learning Guild, and Product School.

She specializes in working with women in tech. She also hosts In Her Words, a podcast about what it actually takes to navigate transitions without losing yourself.

Roberta is a transracial adoptee born in Bogota, Colombia and grew up in Buffalo, NY.  She’s currently based in Boston, MA with her husband, son, and 2 cats. When she's not working with clients, you can find Roberta in the garden, meditation cushion, or cooking up some new recipes in the kitchen. Connect with her through her newsletter and on LinkedIn.
